The CA HK VP9 OR is a California Specific Model and is CA-DOJ Roster Approved.

In development for more than four years, the VP9 is Heckler & Koch's latest handgun and the first striker fired HK since the renowned P7 series pistols were introduced in the 1980s. The VP9 CA California Compliant California Legal is well-suited for civilian sport shooting, security, military, and law enforcement use. The new VP9 OR (Optics Ready) pistol has updated the venerable VP9 platform to support micro red dot sights for improved target acquisition.

Derived from the P30, the VP9 is HK's newest striker fired pistol. The VP9 trigger offers a short, light take up with a solid break followed by a positive reset. Uses HK's ergonomic handgun grip design with 3 interchangeable backstraps and 6 side panels. The VP9 offers ambidextrous controls and uses a paddle-style magazine release.

The VP9 Optics Ready features an optic cut from the factory that will accept various optics with use of the appropriate mounting plate(sold separately).
